Paul Douglas Hurt, 72, of Glasgow died Friday, January 11, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Paul Dallas Hurt and Edna Jane Harris Hurt. He was retired from SKF Tyson Bearing. A member of the Temple Baptist Church, Jaycee’s and a member of the DAV Chapter 20 Color Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Delsie Shaw Hurt; one son: Douglas Gyle Hurt of Lexington; two brothers: Jessie and his wife Aleen of Lecta and Richard Hurt and his wife Donna of Glasgow; four sisters: Melba Richey and her husband Victor of Owensboro, Laverne Eudy of Hiseville, Patricia Spears and her husband Ed of Glasgow and Paulette Shirley and her husband Nolan of Glasgow. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral with Bro. Dennis Hibbard officiating. Burial will be in the Hurt-Defevers Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
