Paul Garnett Bagby, 89, of Glasgow died Wednesday October 3, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Dolph R. Bagby and Bertha Bell Bagby. He was a WWII veteran and took part in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy, June 1944 and was wounded during the battle of the bulge in the fall of 1944. He was a member of the VFW Post 5906 and Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Porter Bagby; three sons: Paul Clark Bagby, Josh Randall Bagby and James Russell Bagby-Jarvis; one daughter: Andra Bagby Franklin; five grandchildren: Nathan Franklin, Kirsten Franklin, Austin Franklin, Morgan and Shelby Bagby; two sisters: Kathryn Bagby Smith and Ann Bagby Leftwich.
Graveside service will be 1:00 Saturday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with the Glasgow DAV Chapter 20 providing military honors and Bro. Paul R. Kingrey officiating. Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
