Oraola “Bobbye” Parsley, 88, Park City, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at her residence. A native of Hiseville, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Lelia Mae Spencer Everett. She was a graduate of Bowling Green Business University and had been employed as bookkeeper at various locations including Cave City Motel and local tobacco warehouses. She was a former secretary at First Christian Church in Glasgow; a member of the Glasgow Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; a member of the Park City Homemakers; a member of the Hiseville Christian Church; and an avid participant of quilting, gardening, and pottery making. She especially loved culturing her large array of iris.
Survivors include her husband Edward Parsley; three grandchildren: Chad Parsley, Keshia Parsley, and Nancy Parsley; one brother: W.S. Everett; four nieces and nephews: Wendy Ogden and husband Dennis, Dave Everett and wife Rella, Rich Everett and wife Jenny, Janet Gonzales and husband Joe; and a special neighbor who was looked upon as a daughter: Peggy Cox Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children: Stephen Everett Parsley and Glenda Suzanne Parsley.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hiseville Christian Church with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Hiseville Christian Church.
