Neval Mae Vance, 93, Glasgow, died Monday, August 20, 2012, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Vulso and Hattie Ward Mayes. She was a retired presser at Handmacher Fashions of Glasgow and a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her three children, James O. Vance and wife Alma, Robert Vance and wife Norma, Carolyn Garrett and husband Tommy; 8 grandchildren, Vickie McPherson (Bobby), Timmy Vance, Mark Vance (Kathy), Debbie Coulter (Jackie), Connie Poynter (Daryl), Mike Vance, Barry T. Garrett (Vivian), and Rochelle Wyatt (Mark); 23 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren;
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Veachel Vance and one great-grandchild, Corey Wilson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bristletown Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
