Naomi Ruth Shirley, 76, of Glasgow, KY passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Ray and Ollie Bell Kerney Hurt. She was a member of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband: Clarence Shirley; four children: Debbie Lynne Heffner (William) of Fairbanks, AK, Gary W. Riddle of Fairbanks, AK, Jimmy A. Shirley (Kellie) of Hodgenville, KY and Timmy D. Shirley of Glasgow, KY; eight grandchildren: Michael Huus of Fairbanks, AK, Danielle Farquhar of Vancouver, British Columbia, Denise Hammann of Portland, OR, Jimmy Austin Shirley, III of Washington DC, Jessie Riddle of Glasgow, KY, Gabriel Cleary Shirley of Lexington, KY, Courtney Riddle of North Dakota and Sylvana Riddle of North Dakota; seven great-grandchildren: Adriana Huus of Alaska, Eric Huus of Alaska, Parker Huus of Alaska, Josh Farquhar of British Columbia, Addie Farquhar of British Columbia, Kira Riddle of North Dakota and Lucy Riddle of North Dakota; four brothers and sisters: Covella Hurt Stewart of Bowling Green, KY, Timmy Hurt of Pleasant View, TN Wanda Kirk of Frankfort, KY and Carolyn Emminger of Kittanning PA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband John F. Riddle; her step-mother: Dorothy Hurt; one son: John F. Riddle, Jr.; one grandson: Houston Riddle; two sisters: Dorothy Jean Wisdom and Brenda Cardwell.
Funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 4:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
