Nancy Jewell Wood Ward, 70, Glasgow, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. She was born February 3, 1952 in Glasgow, the daughter of the late Harlin Benton Wood and Anna Jewell Grooms Wood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other David Gann; her late husband Kenneth Ward; and sisters: Margaret Wood, Pat Soards, Gwen Brantly, and Ronnie Wood.
Nancy’s children, grandchildren, and family were her life. She cherished each moment spent with them, knowing how precious it was. She loved watching the sunrise and sunsets; she was captivated by the color and beauty of each one. Nancy was intrigued by peculiar interests such as crystals, herbs, mysterious creatures, unexplained events, and biblical origins. She was always open-minded about the paths less travelled.
Survivors include two children: Stephanie Ward Bailey (Brian Rich) and Jonathan Louis Ward (Penny) all of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Kenneth Corbin Ward, Connor Reece Ward, and Noah Read Bailey.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Pleasant Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm at the cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
