Michael Ray Coomer, 77, of Hiseville, Kentucky entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at NHC Nursing Facility in Glasgow. Michael was the son of the late Lawrence and Bernice Atwell Coomer.
He was a retired farmer, a Kentucky basketball fan, antique collector, and a devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, and a very proud Pa. Michael was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one son, Chad Michael Coomer and wife Amber and one grandson, Maddox Coomer, all of Glasgow.
Michael was one of ten siblings and he leaves behind brothers Tim Coomer (Cherri) of Hiseville and Phillip Coomer (Sharon) of Bowling Green, sisters Teresa London (Randy) of Hiseville, Judy Gossom and Vickie Mosby of Glasgow, and Kathy Pollak of Vacaville, California; special companion Jo Ann Thompson of Hiseville. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Besides his parents, Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Coomer,and two sisters, Lorene Hanking and Jo Ann Gooden.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation Sunday 1:00-8:00 and Monday until time of service at the funeral home.
