Michael "Mike" David Lawson

Michael “Mike” David Lawson, 74 of Summer Shade, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his residence. He was a son of the late Elzie Mitchell Lawson and Alline C. Miller Lawson. He was a retired truck driver and a U. S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Rebecca “Becky” Lawson and his little buddy Jake; one daughter: Kimberly Rose Lawson; one son: James “Jamie” Lawson (Debra Slayton Lawson); four grandchildren: Michelle Rose Lawson, Alex Lawson, Josh Lawson and Kadin Wray; two brothers; Gary Lawson (Mary) and Larry Lawson (Doris); two sisters: Rita Anderson (Randy) and Anita Lawson; two special friends and caregivers: Melissa Slayton and Sandra Bunch; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: Randal Lawson, Sandy Lawson, Freddie Lawson and Elzie (Big D) Lawson.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday and after 10:00 am Wednesday until time for services. Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will provided military honors at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
