Michael Wayne Keyes, 39, Horse Cave, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at his residence. A native of Boston, he was a son of the late Richard Eugene Keyes and Elizabeth Jones Keyes. He was an employee of Wendy’s and a collector of Indian Artifacts.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Kayla Patton of Oak Hill, Ohio and Emily Page Sturgill of Horse Cave; six brothers, Bob (Terri) Keyes of Nashville, Jim (April) Keyes of Beckley, WV, Danny (Denise) Keyes of Horse Cave, Roddy Keyes of Jefferson, GA and David Keyes of Boston; two sisters, Michelle Elam of Jefferson, GA and Donna Keyes-Desrosiers of Bellingham, MA; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Keyes.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave with burial in the Lighthouse Church Community Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
