Michael Earl Hinkle

     Michael Earl Hinkle, 56, of Glasgow, Kentucky, formerly of Louisville, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the Shanti Hospice House. Michael is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Wesley) Dyer, and his son, Wesley (Kara Brooke) Hinkle. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Jalynn Hinkle, Cooper Hinkle, Crew Hinkle, Zaylen Holley, Preston Cope, Layla Dyer, Lena Dyer, and Sage Dyer — each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Two brothers: Keith Linton and Kyle Linton; one sister, Kellie Zimmerman.

     In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers: Kevin Linton and Kenneth Linton. 

     A lifelong sports enthusiast and passionate Louisville Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan, Michael could often be found cheering from the sidelines of a little league game, never missing a chance to support his grandchildren. He loved his friends like family and shared countless laughs with everyone fortunate enough to know him. His faithful dog, Rookie, was always by his side. Michael will be remembered for his quick wit, big heart, and the way he made everyone around him feel loved and seen. His legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. 

     Arrangements are under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, Kentucky. In honor of his wishes, cremation was chosen. A memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life will be conducted by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home to assist with arrangement expenses.
