Michael Bradley (Brad) Johnson, 49, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away at his residence on April 16, 2021. He was the son of Jo Brent and John Ray Elmore and Mike and Jane Johnson. Brad was a graduate of Barren County High School, Class of 1989, and the University of Northern Alabama.

He was a 1 st Lieutenant in the Kentucky National Guard and was deployed to Operation Desert Storm in 1991 with the 623 rd Field Artillery. After his military service, Brad worked in the telecommunications industry for most of his adult life. He always had a heart to serve and that was demonstrated by his years of involvement with the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3093, a national charitable organization. He was currently serving as Vice President.

Survivors include his parents of Glasgow, KY, Daughter, Olivia Johnson, and Son, Mason Johnson, of Louisville, KY. Brothers, Daniel Johnson (Amy), Ben Johnson of Glasgow, KY and Luke Johnson (Jenna) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Stepsister Rhonda Townsend (Charles) of Glasgow, KY. Stepbrothers Michael Ray Elmore (Lisa) of Glasgow KY, Mark Elmore (Jean) of Bowling Green, KY and Scott Turner of Fountain Run, KY. Brad was also survived by his Grandfather, James Johnson of Glasgow, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Brad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Georgia Brent Strader, and paternal grandmother, Florine Johnson.

A celebration of Brad’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 at the funeral home.

Military honors will be provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV.
