Marietta Ross Ballard, 85, Griderville, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Barren County Health & Rehab Center. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred W. “Dutch” Ross and Mallie Wade Ross. She was also preceded in death by her husband David Lawrence Ballard.
Marietta was a former bookkeeper at Strader’s Dairy and was a retired teller at Citizen’s Bank, later US Bank. She was a member of the Hiseville United Methodist Church where she also served many years as Treasurer and was a member of the UMW. She was an original member of the Barren County High School Booster Club.
Survivors include two sons: David Ross Ballard of Nashville and Chuck Ballard and wife Lisa of Louisville; one granddaughter, Erin Ballard of Yuma, AZ.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
