Lucille Williams Johnson, 95, Glasgow, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at Hospice House in Bowling Green. She was the daughter of the late G. B. and Anna Pedigo Williams and the wife of 69 years to the late Cecil Johnson.
She lived a simple life and loved her family and will be remembered for her caring and generous spirit in helping those in need. She was a wonderful homemaker, and a member of the First Christian Church. She had a long, full life and love from family, friends, and God.
She is survived by her daughter: Marilyn Johnson Gettys; son-in-law: Norb Gettys; grandsons: Travis (Julie) and Rafe (Christin); great-grandson: Samson Gettys; great-granddaughter: Sasha Lucille Gettys; sister: Myrna Harbison; brothers: David and Lewis Williams; nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Trevor (Sharon) Gettys; sisters: Ruth Fox and Frances Shields; brothers: Joe, Frank, George, Leroy, Albert, and Clifton Williams.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
