Wayne Wheeler

Louie Wayne Wheeler, 77, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Tristar Skyline Hospital. He was a son of the late Hubert Carter Wheeler and Hazel Pearl Ford Wheeler.

He was a man of God. A son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Avid hunter and fisherman loved the outdoors, one of his greatest joys cooking and hosting large meals and gatherings.

He is survived by his wife: Nina Sue Burnley Wheeler; one son: Mark Wheeler (Tammy); two grandchildren: Autumn Brooke Wheeler (Lexie Daniel Cook) and Eliot Paige Bueso (Alejandro); one great-grandchild: Esmeralda Maeve Bueso; two brothers: Johnny Wheeler and Bill Wheeler; two sisters: Anita Gail Pelly (Chuck) and Martha Faye Shirely; best friend for 50 years: Lonnie Grider; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: Pete Wheeler, Kenneth Wheeler, Carlene Wheeler and James Wheeler; two sisters: Linda England and Wanda Lucille Hire.

Funeral will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services.
