Mr. Leo Austin, 88, of (Barren County) Cave City, Ky. Died Sunday, April 29 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Jessie M. Austin. He was preceded in death by one step daughter Mae Frances Paul and one step son Robert Wayne Sublett. He professed his hope in Christ at an early age at Harlow’s Chapel Baptist Church in Glasgow.
In his home going he leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 26 years Mattie Austin of Cave City, one son: Larry Douglas Austin of Lexington; one Godson: Frank Austin of Bowling Green; four daughters: Peggy Austin, Patricia Kirk and Samantha Austin all of Glasgow and Doris Jean Austin of Louisville; two step-daughters: Mary Tobin and Dorothy Paul of Cave City; three step-sons: William Sublett and his wife Gloria of North Carolina, Calvin Sublett and his wife Gladys of Glasgow and Russell Sublett of Litchfield, KY; brothers and sisters in laws: Charles Alexander and Doris Jean of Uno, Odis Driver of Atlanta, GA, Johnny Driver and his wife Christine of Glasgow, Jr. Driver of Hiseville, Ollie Franklin and his wife Louise of Hodgenville and Edna Curry of Horse Cave; A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Owens Chapel Baptist Church in Cave City with burial in the Owens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Owens Chapel Church Tuesday from 6-9 P.M. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
