Laura “Ruth” Humphrey,84, Glasgow, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Charlie and Mintie Glass Jeffries, she was a retired line worker at Sorensen’s and a member of the East Main United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Gwendolyn Penny Cloyd (Joe) of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Cloyd Herron (Donald) of Murfreesboro and Kevin Cloyd of Glasgow; three great-grandchildren, Sara Herron, Joshua Herron and Benjamin Herron; one brother, Junior Jeffries (Jeanette) of Park City; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Humphrey; one sister, Jeanette Martin, and three brothers, Delmar Jeffries, Charles Jeffries and Raymond Jeffries.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
