Lawrence (Larry) Allan Vance, 57, died suddenly at his home in Gaithersburg, MD. Larry was born in Louisville, KY, graduated from high school in Frankfort and MIT in Cambridge, MA, with a double degree in Math and Political Science. He also attended George Washington University Law School. He was employed as a computer program systems analyst with A.R. Grace, Fannie Mae and Virginia Utilities. He was a member of Beechland Baptist Church in Louisville.
Larry is survived by his parents, Lawrence L. and Lela Vance of Glasgow; an aunt, Margie Friend of Glasgow; two uncles, Doug Ross of Louisville and Kenneth Vance of Evansville, IN; special friends, Scott and Karen Hamilton and their children of Hagerstown, MD.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
