Larry P. Houchens, 70, of Glasgow, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at his residence. He was the son of the late Payton Houchens and Lillian Taylor Houchens. He was retired from Philip Morris Company in Louisville.
He is survived by his wife Zona Ann Key Houchens; one son: Larry Mitchell Houchens and his wife Wanda of Louisville; two grandsons: Larry Mitchell Houchens, II and his wife Sherry of Louisville, Joe Akers and his wife Lora of Glasgow; one granddaughter: Sarah Ann Crumpton of Glasgow; one great grandson: Tristan Houchens of Louisville; one adopted great grandson: Thomas Houchens of Louisville; two Great Granddaughters: Kassidi and Molly Akers of Glasgow; one brother: Joe Houchens and his wife Gladys of Glasgow; one sister: Mary Ann Hogue of Shepherdsville; one uncle: Thomas and his wife Joyce La Nell of Glasgow; He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Glenda Rye and Joyce Handy.
Funeral will be 10:00 A. M. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Hank Johnson Officiating. Entombment at the Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, KY. Visitation will be after 10:00 A. M. Sunday at the funeral home.
