Kenneth Dewayne “Kenny” Matthews, 57, Glasgow, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025. A life-long resident of Barren County, he was the son of the late Doyle Kenneth Matthews and Martha Kay “Marty” Wade Matthews.
Before his illness prevented his working, Kenny was a long-time driver for Papa John’s Pizza in Glasgow. He was one who loved the Lord. He also loved spending time with his family and making them laugh. He was an avid UK Wildcat fan and enjoyed anything involved with cars and trucks. He was a member of the Living Waters Baptist Church in Tennessee.
Survivors include is wife Shannon; one son, Samuel Matthews; two sisters: Belinda England and husband Bobby of Glasgow, and Kristle Burton and husband Mark of Summer Shade; four nieces and nephews: Bradley England of Lexington, Ashley Holder (Chris) of Florida, Evan Payne (Amy) of Glasgow, and Austin Payne of Summer Shade; one great-niece, Kaylee Holder of Glasgow.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations toward funeral expense and can be made at the funeral home.
