Kenneth C. Edwards, Sr., 85, Griderville, died Monday, October 12, 2009, at his residence. A son of the late Earl Edwards and Blanche and Howard Galloway, he was a farmer, a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons, Kenneth C. Edwards, Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Griderville and Jeff Edwards and his wife, Bobbi, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Katherine Edwards of Decatur, IL, Meghan Edwards of Griderville, Trinity Gonzalez and her husband, Jesse, and Morgan Edwards both of Bowling Green; one half-brother, Wendell Edwards; two half-sisters, Bernice Chambers and Laverne Norris; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Edwards and Bernard Edwards.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will be in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
