Kelly Watson Mathews

Kelly Watson Mathews, 74, Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at his residence following a brief illness. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Leroy and June Wilkinson Mathews.

Kelly was a construction worker who had joined other family members in the business of custom-built homes. His leisure time was enjoyed riding horses, camping, and attending the monthly meeting of his family and friends for a meal and storytelling. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; one son, Steve Mathews; one granddaughter, Riley Jo Mathews; three brothers: Terry Mathews (Vickie), Larry Mathews (Carolyn Estes) all of Glasgow, and Tracy Mathews (Mary Anne) of Louisville; one aunt, Mable Moran (Billy) of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to a charity of one’s choice.
