Junetta Ruth Bennett

Junetta “June” Ruth Bennett, 62, Hiseville, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was born in Glasgow on October 24, 1963 to the late Horace and Eurma Payne Finn.

June was known for her vibrant, fun loving personality. She was always smiling and laughing; she loved to dance. She had a deep love for her grandchildren and her dogs. She was also a loving and compassionate caregiver; a true angel on earth whose kindness, warmth, and selfless love will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Charles “Chuck” Bennett of Hiseville; four children: Justin Basil of Glasgow, Brittany Bennett, Dillion Bennett, and Michael Bennett all of Hiseville; ten grandchildren: Jacob, Zackary, Waylon, Chase, Leann, Mathew, Gracelynn, Lillyan, Trinity, and Ammon; three great-grandchildren: Bentley, Kensley, and Liam; one sister: Teresa Lane; two sisters-in-law: Patricia Rutherford and Brenda Morgan; one brother-in-law, Larry Houchens; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mathew Basil; a grandson, Thomas Finn Basil; two sisters: Carla Houchens and Anita Houchens; two brothers-in-law, James “Jimmy” Lane and George “Buddy” Houchens; one sister-in-law, Lisa Richardson; and her mother-in-law, Virginia Bennett.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
