Joyce Marie Pennington Jessie, 65, Hiseville, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at her residence. A daughter of the late Elsie Marie Poynter and James Paul Pennington, she was a homemaker and a member of the Samson Street Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie; one daughter, Angela Jessie Ramsey (Chris Page) of Bon Ayr; 6 grandchildren, Charly Ramsey (Cory Perkins), Josh Ramsey, Dakota Paul Jessie, Tyler Jessie, Sierra Jessie and Kylin Spencer; 6 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Isaiah and Cheyenne Ramsey, Jayvan Jessie, Kierra and McKenzie Vaughn; two sisters, Josephine Rigsby and Carolyn Devore both of Edmonton; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Paul Jessie; one grandson, Billy Paul Ramsey; two sisters, Martha Graves and Paulette Gibson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
