John S. Brand

John S. Brand, 85, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at NHC Healthcare. He was a retired Research Psychologist and Training Evaluator for the U. S. Army Solder Support Center at Fort Harrison, in Indianapolis, Indiana where he worked from 1959 to 1994. Mr. Brand was a veteran of the army who served in WWII, in Europe and the Philippines. Mr. Brand graduated from the University of North Carolina and received his masters in Psychology from George Washington University in Washington D. C.
Survivors include his daughter: Christina Bonnewell and her husband Mark of Glasgow; one grandson: John Paul Bonnewell; one brother: Dr. Eugene Brand of Wicomico Church, Virginia; two step grandchildren: Erica Gary and Ella Bonnewell; Five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at later date in Indianapolis, Indiana.
