Jesse W. Rayburn

Jesse William Rayburn, 86, Glasgow, died Thursday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Pierce, KY, he was a son of the late Rev. J. W. Rayburn and Clara Wisdom Rayburn and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Glasgow.
He was the founder and former owner of Rayburn Signs, a member of the Allen Lodge # 24 F & AM, Mammoth Cave Amateur Radio Club and the Barren River Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jenny Penick; one son, Jerry Rayburn and his wife, Lorine, of Colleyville, TX; two grandsons, Mike Rayburn of San Antonio, Texas, and Randy Rayburn of Dallas, Texas; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
