Jerry Wayne Jackson, Sr., 71, Scottsville, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. The Barren County native was the son of the late Jim and Gracie Lane Jackson. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include three children: Tommie Britt and husband Kevin, and Jerry Wayne “Bug” Jackson, Jr. all of Scottsville, Jerri Lynn Johnson and husband Eric of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren: Jon-Michael Clement, Katie Jackson, Dakota Britt, Christopher Maysey, Taylor Jackson, Morgan Young, and Chase Jackson; one sister Judy Poynter and husband Roger of Glasgow; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Ann Smith Jackson; one daughter Penny Louise Wix; one grandson Richard Wix; one sister Mae Wilson; and three brothers: Billy Jackson, David Jackson, and Rondal Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
