James H. Wilson, 81, of Hiseville, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his daughter’s residence. He was a son of the late Charlie and Pearl Mae Harrison Wilson. James was a Barren County native. He worked as a roofer for many years. Also done yard work all around Glasgow and other odd jobs. He enjoyed doing yard work at home and always had a tomato garden. He enjoyed playing and loving on his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children: Tammy Gillock Smith (Darrell), Connie Wilson Ballard (Teddy) and Howard Wilson; nine grandchildren: April Morgan (Jason), Jerry Bennett, Marlena Ballard Whitlow (Dwayne), Thomas Ballard (Tonya Dennison), Travis Wilson (Sha Bennett), Kaylah Wilson (Travis Horvath), Johnathan Neal, Amber Wilson and Heather Gillock; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his companion: Sonja Kay Wilson.

Funeral will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday and after 9:00 am Friday until time for services.
