Mitchell Miller

James Mitchell “Duke” Miller, born October 13, 1957, of Brownsville, Kentucky, passed away on September 20, 2026, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

He loved farming throughout his life and was devoted to his dogs, including his beloved Chica, and in memory of his two dogs that preceded him in death, Hot Shot and Lil Boy. 

He is survived by his father, Cletus Dean Miller; his sister, Rhoda Gail Wheeler (Greg); his bonus children David Joe York and LeeAnn Doyle; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a niece and a host of nephews; and an abundance of close friends.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Ann Miller; his life partner, Holly Sue Raymer; his daughter, Vanessa Faye Johnson; and his sister, Debbie Sue Bunch.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time for services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
