James Edward Burks

James Edward Burks, 61 passed away March 5, 2026 in Glasgow, Ky.

James was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Chaffin, father Elmo Burks, brother George Burks and wonderful mother-in-law Peggie Spivey.

James is survived by his wife of 34 years Connie Burks.  He was father of 2 daughters and 2 sons Alyah Burks, Jamielee Burks, Bryan Adkins, and John Paul Williams (Jackie). 5 grandchildren CoHon and Kinzley Atkins, Alexis Wallace, and Faith & Hope Williams.  Brothers: Elton (Kelly), Elvis Chaffin (Rhonda), and sisters Deborah Schaap (Roger) and Donna Speck (Thurman).  Several Nieces and Nephews and very special friends.

James was a loving father, husband, and friend. He loved spending time with his friends and family, being outdoors, working on cars, and riding motorcycles.  He will be missed and rembered by all.
