James Edward Burks

James Edward Burks, 61 passed away March 5, 2026 in Glasgow, Ky.

James was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Chaffin, father Elmo Burks, brother George Burks and wonderful mother-in-law Peggie Spivey.

James is survived by his wife of 34 years Connie Burks.  He was father of 2 daughters and 2 sons Alyha Burks, Jamilee Burks, Bryan Adkins, and John Paul Williams (Jackie) Who stepped up and went above and beyond to help. 5 grandchildren Colton and Kinzley Adkins, Alexis Wallace, and Faith & Hope Williams.  Brothers: Elton Chaffin (Kelly), Elvis Chaffin (Rhonda), and sisters Deborah Schaap (Roger) and Donna Speck (Thurman).  Several Nieces and Nephews and very special friends.

James was a loving father, husband, and friend. He loved spending time with his friends and family, being outdoors, working on cars, and riding motorcycles.  He will be missed and rembered by all.
