James Lewis Bray, 65, Glasgow, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 15, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late James Gaylord Bray and Jewell Algerine Perkins Bray.
James was a carpenter with his Dad and Brother in the Bray Construction Company. He was a very kind person; a lover of his family who was always searching for pocket change to give them. He was an avid fisherman and fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Survivors include three daughters: Connie Garcia (Humberto), Barbara Crockett, and Pam Boyd; six grandchildren: Brian Loyd, Richard Hunter (Christine), Amanda Payne (Thomas), Kristen Lakes, Tosha Glass, and Josh Boyd; one sister-in-law, Trina Dennison (Bobby); two nieces: Vanessa Bray and Amber Bray; two nephews: Michael Hagan and Timmy Hagan (Amanda); several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Justin Hunter, Sarah Hunter, and Ryan Longnecker; one brother, John Bray; and two sisters: Kathy Hagan (Richard) and Lisa Nason.
The family chose cremation with no services planned at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
