Herbert Earl Boston

     Herbert Earl Boston, 88, Glasgow, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at NHC Healthcare. He was the son of the late John Boston and Mallie Foster Boston. He was a member and deacon of Grider Memorial Baptist Church.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Sarah Strange Boston. Daughter Sue Furlong (Mike); six grandchildren: Andy Furlong (Tabitha), Alison Fisher (John), John Furlong (Leah), Cory Wheeler (Shelby), Cate Wheeler, and Cole Wheeler; six great-grandchildren: Marshall Wheeler, Lily Furlong, Mallie Fisher, Jonas Fisher, Hailey Johnson, Saber Fisher, and one on the way. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

     In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two daughters: Christy Wheeler and her husband Bruce Wheeler, and Lou Ann Boston and two brothers: Corbert Oshea Boston, and Aubrey Allen Boston and sister Sylvia McGuire.

     Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
