Glondie Pace Pursley, 81, Glasgow , died Saturday, March 13, 2004 , at the NHC Health Care Center. A native of Lecta in Barren County , she was a daughter of the late Walter and Clara Glass Pace. She was a homemaker and a factory worker, having worked at Handmacher Fashions for 15 years and later at Sorensen’s, where she worked for 27 years until her retirement. She was a very active member and former Sunday School Teacher of the South Green Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include three children, Elizabeth Ann Hood and her husband, Roy Wayne, of Glasgow, James A. Pursley and his wife, Vicky, of Gallatin, TN, Ackley Pursley and his wife, Patricia, of Mesquite, TX; three brothers, Murel Pace of Bloomington, IL, Zeldon Pace of Louisville and Avery Lenox Pace of Great Falls, MT; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Averil Lynn Pursley; one sister, Iris Pace Taylor; and three brothers, Demery Pace, Glatys Pace and Darrell Pace.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at the South Green Street Church of Christ with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the church.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association .
