Glenda Gail Byrd Elam, 69, formerly of Glasgow, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 in Bowling Green. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ruth Anderson and Marshall Eugene “Bud” Byrd. The widow of the late Jack Alan Elam, she was a retired cashier at retail establishments and a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters: Lensey Bell (Tina) of Bowling Green and Lesley Lyons (Kevin) of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Brittany Lyons, Brianna Fields (Cassie), Xavier Ingram, and Aiden McAdoo; one sister, Sandra Thompson (Chris); her loyal canine companion Dixie; four great-grandchildren; one niece, one nephew, two great-nieces, and two great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
