Gladys Gay Wampler

Gladys Gaye Wampler 66, Glasgow passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Runyon and Fannie Ellan Neal Runyon. She was a member of Grider Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Wampler; Son Franklin Wampler; three grandchildren: Jacob Matthews, Mason Matthews (Olivia), Hailey Poynter (Christan Payne); three great grandchildren: Jaelyn Poynter and Adilade Copeland and Lillian Payne; two step children: Tommy Wampler III, Lynnanne Wampler (Shane); two Step grandchildren: Shellbee Jones, Hayden Shadd; Special friend Holly Hatfield; four brothers: Kenneth Runyon, Ruben Runyon, Haskell Runyon and Timothy Runyon; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers: Elmer Runyon, Daniel Runyon, and Bobby Runyon; two sisters Diane Runyon and Mary Elizabeth Rafferty.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bristletown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Saturday until the time of services.
