Francis “Geraldine” Denny, 74, Glasgow, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her residence. The Barren County native was a daughter of the late Owen D. McCoy and Vola Banks Hayes McCoy. She was a homemaker and a lover of animals.
Survivors include her husband Earnest L. Denny; two daughters: Myrita Denny Phillips and husband Donald, and Shannon Denny Bell and husband Wendell, all of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Jeremy Phillips and wife Sara of Goshen, IN, Dustin Phillips and wife Holly of Bloomington, IN, Savannah Bell of Glasgow and her boyfriend John Snider, who was very special to Geraldine, of Bowling Green; two brothers: Sammie D. McCoy and wife Edith of Shepherdsville, and Tommy Richard McCoy and wife Elizabeth of Glasgow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eugenia Marie McCoy.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
