George Leslie Wilson

George Leslie “Buddy” Wilson, 88, Glasgow, died Monday, May 26, 2025 at Signature Healthcare in Glasgow. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Leonard Russell and Ella Welch Wilson.

Buddy was a 1954 graduate of Glasgow High School where he was also a member of the basketball team. After graduation, he was employed at General Electric.

Survivors include his children: Teresa Cross of Cave City, Leslie Wilson (Prytha) of Eighty-Eight, Michael Wilson (Sue) of Summer Shade, Neal Wilson of Nashville, and Michelle Marshall of Florida; his grandchildren: Brent Wilson and Michael Harper; his great-grandchildren: Reid Harper and William Leslie Harper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Earl, Raymond, and Joel Wilson; and three sisters: Honor Moore, Imogene Sharp, and Bea LaPorte.

Mr. Wilson chose cremation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to BRAWA, P.O. Box 171, Glasgow, KY 42142. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
