George John Schooley, Sr.
February 2, 1932 – August 28, 2007
George John Schooley, Sr., 75, Glasgow, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A native of Ohio, he was a son of the late Dorothy Ada Laney and John Henry Bartholomew Schooley. He was a veteran with the United States Army and a retired upholsterer.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jean; four daughters, Pam Cross of Glasgow, Patricia Wright of Angola, IN, Vickie Haver of Hicksville, OH, and Marie Schooley of Queen City, TX; two sons, Don Schooley of Edgerton, Ohio, and George Schooley, Jr. of Center, KY; two sisters, Minnie Pearl Bok and Rita Sensabaugh both of Antwerp, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Marie Schooley; four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central near Ft. Knox at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
