Gary Wayne Medley, 65, Summer Shade, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was a son of the late Jay Lynn Medley and Mary Guinn Medley. He was an oil field technician having worked for L. L. Morris and was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include two sons: Mike Medley and wife Carol, and Chris Medley and wife Devonna; eight grandchildren: Gage Wilson, James (Alyssa) Settles, Tyler McCown, Sydne Medley, Kamn Robertson, Xander Robertson, Alea Medley, and Maddix Medley; one great-grandchild: Jayse Settles; one brother: Charles Medley (Susie); seven sisters: Nelda, Shirley, Brenda, Linda, Shelia, Mitchie (Garry), and Putchie; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Smith Medley and a sister, Ann Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
