Frances “Granny” Shaw, 97, formerly of Glasgow, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Three Rivers, TX. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Nannie Lois Taylor Maggard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one brother, Taylor Maggard and his wife, Ramona, of Glasgow; one daughter-in-law, Billie Shaw Clark of Anderson, IN; one son-in-law, Donald Brown of Three Rivers, TX; two sisters-in-law, Margie Maggard of Kokomo, IN and Margaret Maggard of Loda, IL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Shaw; two sons, H.C. Shaw and Danny Carroll Shaw; two grandsons, Tony Shaw and Donny Joe Brown; one daughter, Joyce Brown; two brothers, Bill Maggard and Earl Maggard; one sister, Teeny Haley.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Refuge Church of Christ with burial in the Refuge Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
