Floyd Ray “Cotton” Lay, 74, of Glasgow, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at this residence. He was the son of the late Christal and Gertie Wilson Lay. He was a member of Pine Grove Church and was attending Crossland Community Church.
He is survived by his companion of 20 years: Brenda J. Glass; two daughters: Teresa Ann Lay Davis (Anthony) of Edmonson County and Michaela Dayle Robertson; Brenda’s children: Kathy Jones (Steve) of Glasgow, Tina Stovall of Cave City, Johnnie Neal of Cave City and Todd Neal (Nancy) of Glasgow; three brothers: Dempsey Lay of Louisville, Aubrey Lay (Wilma) of Edmonson County and Richard Lay (Jennifer) of North Carolina; one sister: Sherry Jane Lay Colllins (Lewis) of Oregon; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son: Michael Ray Lay; one brother: Frankie Lay; and one grandchild.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
