Mrs. Mae Evelyn (Cheatham) Marcum, 81, of Glasgow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday December 10th, 2016. She was a daughter of the late Horace and Mae Collins Cheatham.
She is survived by one son: Daryl Marcum of Glasgow; Her caregiver: Rosie Rister of Glasgow; two daughters: Juana Marcum Brown and her husband Dan of Naples Idaho and Susan Hawkins of Glasgow; four sisters: Bertha Williams, Mary Matthews, Linda Byrd, and JoAnn McCoy. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James (Jim) Marcum; two brothers: John Sam and Will Cheatham; one sister: Louise Tarry.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers she requests donations be given to the Gideon’s.
Any gifts to help the family with funeral expenses will be greatly appreciated and may be given to the funeral home.
