Ercell Day, 77, of Glasgow, died Sunday March 27, 2011 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late James Floyd and Dorothy Edna Freeman Day. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He truly enjoyed working at Fox Hollow Golf Club after retirement from Sun Chemical Corporation.
He is survived by his wife: Loretta Vivian Boggs Day; two sons: Ercell Day, Jr. and his wife Carol and John Day and his wife Alesia; one daughter: Janne Woods and her husband Chris; eight grandchildren: Kristy Greene, Ercell Day, III, Vivian Day, Michael Day, Megan Day, Mallory Holleman, Breezy Woods and Olivia Woods; four great grandchildren; three brothers: Leslie Day, Mardon Day and Haydon Day; two sisters: Lillian Reese and Annette Lunsford.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Mack Day.
Graveside services will be Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2:00P.M. CST in New Carlisle, Ohio at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
