Ellis Hughes Akers Thomason, 90, Glasgow, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at her residence. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Levy Clay Akers and Willie F. Matthews Akers Martin. She was a retired medical technician at NHC Healthcare Center.
Survivors include eight children: Rex Thomason, Margie Jackson (Ronnie), Harold Thomason (Sue), Shirley Jackson, Rebecca Jackson (Dennis), Joe Thomason (Lavaughn), Regina Cummings, and Richard Branham (Angie); 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William R. Thomason; and two sons: William Thomason and Charles Thomason; one sister: Mary Anderson
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
