Elizabeth Tallent Pickens “Nana”, 85, of Salem, Indiana formerly of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. She was a daughter of the late James Porter Tallent and Matilda Elizabeth Alberson Tallent. She was attending Bunker Hill Church in Salem, Indiana and a member of East Main Street United Methodist Church in Glasgow, KY.
She is survived by two children: Helen Pickens and Michael Pickens; six grandchildren: Jeremy Wheeler, Ashley Cooper, Brandi Cooper Skeens and her husband Earl, Shawn Cooper, Christopher Cooper and Sutton Pickens; six great grandchildren: Caden Cooper, Sarah Elizabeth Skeens, Xander Cooper, Christopher Hambell, Robert Minton and Cadence Grace; two brothers: Hershel Tallent and Alvis Tallent; two sisters: Judy Roland and Sue Melton; Caregivers: Sierra Stewart and Heather Bruce; Friend: Janet Wise; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norman C. Pickens; one grandson: Michael Pickens; one brother: Hunley Tallent; four sisters: June Greenwood, Jo Bullock, Elsie Mitchell and Esco Tallent.
Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 30, 2016 at the Stony Point Church in Albany, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Albany Cemetery.
