Elizabeth Emogene Turner, 91, of Mount Hermon, KY was born on May 8, 1935 and grew up in the Vernon Community of Monroe County. She passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at the NHC Healthcare Center in Glasgow. She was formerly employed at Sorensen’s in Glasgow until they discontinued operations. Recently she had been a resident of the Highland Ridge Assisted Living facility and had been attending the Poplar Log Church of Christ which she loved dearly.

Emogene is survived by her two grandchildren: Daniel Lee Turner (Molly) of Glasgow and Casey Lauren Turner of Palm Bay, Florida; two great-grandchildren: Grady and Anabelle Turner of Glasgow; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Turner Rich of Glasgow; a special niece Frankie Horn of Louisville; a special nephew, Greg Perdue of Indiana; along with several other nieces and nephews.

Emogene was preceded in death by her husband Wayne C. Turner; two sons: Jackie Turner and Ricky Turner; her mother Letha Frances Scott Carter; her father, Bart Perdue; three brothers: Les Perdue, Bill Perdue, and James “Bud” Perdue; her father-in-law, Otis Turner; two sisters-in-law, Carole Slaughter and Ruth Ann Perdue; and a niece, Louie Perdue.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethlehem Cemetery with no prior visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poplar Log Church of Christ or to the Highland Ridge Assisted Living. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
