Earl Thomas Livesay, 79, Glasgow , died Sunday, December 5, 2004, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Barren County , he was a son of the late Jack and Maudie Jackson Livesay.

Mr. Livesay was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, and was a member of the Honor Guard that served as body guards to Gen. Douglas McArthur. He was an Excellent Marksman and continued to compete in trap shooting until around 1990.

He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, having joined the Nazarene denomination in 1949.

Survivors include his wife, Golda Wallace Livesay; one daughter, Judy Warner and her husband, Gary, of Glasgow ; two granddaughters, Dawn and Deborah; one brother, Robert Livesay; one aunt, Mattie Steenbergen of Lucas; 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
