Tommy Mesker

Earl “Tommy” Thomas Mesker, 65, passed away on September 17, 2026.

 Tommy was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. To know him was to love him. He was one of the most giving people you could ever meet and would literally give you the shirt off his back or his last penny if someone needed it.

Tommy loved the outdoors and would much rather be outside than cooped up inside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers, and he lived life to the fullest in his own way. He was stubborn at times, but that was simply part of who he was—and those who loved him wouldn’t have wanted him any other way.

Tommy also loved to cook. He enjoyed creating and tweaking his own recipes until they were just right. He especially loved his sweets and would often call his daughter, Jody, asking her to make him a dessert, only to add his own twist to the recipe. He almost always had candy nearby and never seemed to let someone leave without offering them a piece.

Tommy had a personal faith in God that often came through in the conversations he shared with his daughter. They would talk about God and Heaven, and he often spoke about how much he looked forward to seeing his mom and dad again. He would say that he talked to them often. Those conversations and the hope he had of seeing his parents again will remain especially precious to his family.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Alma Mesker, and his nephew, Chris Mesker.

He is survived by his two children, Jacob Mesker and Jody Dean (Ben); his five grandchildren, Arianna, Brooklyn, Benson, Samson, and Gracelyn; his brother, Donnie Mesker, and his wife, Kristen; his nephews, Brandon, Riley, and Clinton; along with several cousins and many dear friends.

Tommy leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, laughter, recipes, outdoor adventures, and pieces of candy shared with the people he loved. His generous heart and one-of-a-kind personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

To know Tommy was to love him, and he will never be forgotten.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday until time for services.
