Duane N. Breitenfeld, 68, Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Glasgow Health & Rehab Center. A native of Park Falls, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late August and Marie Drott Breitenfeld. He was a retired maintenance worker at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, a member of the First Church of God, and a United States Army veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Gass Breitenfeld; two sons, Michael Duane Breitenfeld (Shannon), and Christopher Lee Breitenfeld; two grandchildren, Dustin Michael Breitenfeld and Samantha Hailey Breitenfeld; six step-children, Johnny Green (Mary Jo), Theresa Richardson (Alan), Lisa Ketterer (Rob), Terry Green, Brenda Orlando, and Helen Aldridge; 14 step-grandchildren, Adam, Dylan, Casey, and Jennifer Green; Mitchell and Reagan VanCleave; Terri Lee, Nicole, and Danielle Green; Justin and Wesley Cleaver; Christy, Tiffany, and Steven Aldridge; 2 step-great-grandchildren, A. J. and Ty Green; three brothers, David (Joanne) Breitenfeld, Gene Breitenfeld, and Marly Breitenfeld; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Jerry, and Ronnie Breitenfeld; and one sister, Elaine.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial with military honors by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will be in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
