Douglas Scott Jones, 60, Owensboro, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at his residence. A native of Glasgow, he was a son of the late Earl and Billie Craig Jones . He was a 1965 graduate of Glasgow High School and a 1969 graduate of Western Kentucky University. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a sales representative for Cole and Durham Insurance Agency.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Cochran Jones; one brother, Fred Jones and his wife, Jo, of Norwalk, CT; one nephew, Christopher Jones of Norwalk; two nieces, Kimberly Cochran of Kerrville, TX, and Kelly Cochran Hackel of St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hatcher & Saddler.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Owensboro Humane Society.
