Dorothy Ivone Broady
August 21, 1937 ~ July 30, 2005
Dorothy Ivone Broady, 67, Glasgow, died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Alma Riley Bowles. She retired from the General Telephone Company after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Independent Telephone Pioneers Association and the First United Methodist Church of Glasgow.
Survivors include one son, Leslie Rennard Broady, Jr. and his wife, Marnie, of Greenville, KY; two grandsons, Ty and Will Broady; two sisters, Charlotte Rigdon and her husband, Jesse Ray, and Ruth Edmunds and her husband, Tom, all of Glasgow; six nieces and nephews, Darlene Lawson, Michael Gibbons, Wesley Stephens, Cheryl Renick, Cherry Martin and Amelia Kiser; local great-nieces and nephews, Kori Renick, Ryan Renick, Olivia Kiser, Riley Kiser, Rodger Lawson and Bradley Lawson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Rennard Broady; one daughter, Jacqueline Broady; two sisters, Lois Gibbons and Dorris Stephens.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
